Subie grew up on a farm in Hartland, Vermont and her parents now reside in Quechee, Vermont. She attended the University of Vermont for 3 years and was an avid field hockey player & skier. With Olympic dreams in sight, Subie found her way out West to pursue a talent in freestyle mogul competition in 1992. Subie finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development. While working with young children, she discovered Maria Montessori and was fascinated by her philosophy. From that moment on she knew that she would eventually open a Montessori school. After completing a two-year Early Childhood Montessori program in California she fulfilled her dream and opened Little Miners in the fall of 2001. Subie is the proud parent of Bryce and Daisy Stone.
Miss Hillary Raemer

AM/PM Head Teacher Classroom 1
Hillary grew up in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She completed her Montessori training in the San Francisco Bay area and has been teaching Early Childhood Montessori Education since 2000. Hillary enjoys hiking, running and spending time with her friends. She also loves to spend time with her two dogs and other furry animals.
Miss Karen Raemer
AM/PM Assistant Teacher Classroom 1
Karen grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Business Management. She has spent 20 years training, teaching, and counseling adults. She finds teaching at Little Miners much more rewarding and loves spending her days with the children. Her hobbies include gardening, knitting, her pets and weekends with her daughters.
Miss Bibi Vladimirova

AM/PM Head Teacher Classroom 2
Bibi grew up in Bulgaria and received her Bachelor's Degree in outdoor sports and recreation with an emphasis on physical education teaching and journalism. She is a professional ski and snowboard instructor as well as a Junior National Bulgarian figure skating champion. She has Montessori training from the Souzzann Zink Montessori Development Center and received her Early Childhood Certificate at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies.
Mrs. McKensey Scurlock 
AM/PM Assistant Teacher Classroom 2
McKensey grew up in Georgetown, Texas outside of Austin. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Public Relations. McKensey and her husband have been living in Salt Lake City for four years. McKensey taught at Another Way Montessori for two years prior to joining the Little Miners team. She enjoys yoga, painting, cooking, camping, skiing and traveling.
Miss Ashley Currier

Ashley is from Rye, New Hampshire. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in Education. During college Ashley interned at the Headstart in Canton, New York and discovered her love for working with children. After graduation Ashley followed her passion for skiing to the snowy mountains of Utah. Ashley completed her Montessori Teacher Training at the New England Montessori Teacher Education Center in Boston, Massachusetts and loves teaching the Montessori philosophy to children.
Miss Alison Provines
AM/PM Assistant Teacher Classroom 3
Alison grew up in Merced, California and received her degree in Psychology from CSU Sacramento. She lived and worked in the Bay Area for 10 years before moving with her family to Park City in 2004. Alison has always loved children and has 2 sons, Jake and Garrett who keep her very busy! In her spare time she enjoys travel, skiing, running, hiking and spending time with her sons.
Mrs. Lauren Angerosa
Office Assistant
Lauren grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Sociology and Adventure Recreations at Ohio University. In 2008, Lauren worked in upstate New York at a Agritourism Farm where she oversaw the daily operations. Lauren moved to Park City in 2004 where she worked at a local ski shop and eventually began working at the Oakley School as an Admissions Counselor for children fourteen-nineteen years old. Lauren also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking and spending time with her husband and beautiful daughter Hayden.
Mrs. Jill Johnson-Brown
Office Assistant
Jill was born and raised in Park City, Utah. Along with Subie, she chased her Olympic dreams with the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team. Off the ski slopes, Jill pursued her education at the University of Utah receiving a B.S. in Communications and a B.S. in Women’s Studies then received a Masters of Arts in Art Therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jill is the proud mom of Nils and Ivy Brown and can be found in the office several days a week.
